Perceiving Orbits (animated)

The eye socket is in my opinion the most influencing part of a personality. Since I work from photographs I have to trust my own interpretation of measurements. In all the photographs that I have, there is a ruler next to the frontal portion of the skull to give a reference. This helps me determine eye ball size and tissue thickness. With the eye you must consider the socket depth to help determine where the eye would be. I have to look at a profile view to arrive at my final concept. Although the eye is the most critical area of personality, it is the easiest area for me to interpolate, plus it is the least effected area on the skull to change due to body weight.
